Learning objectives

  • The body is relaxed during the techniques
  • Use of tegatana (side of the hand), shomen and yokomen uchi strikes and reception of them
  • Ikkyo-undo (special attention is paid to the use of knees and hips, stretching the arms front and back)
  • Shikko forward and backward
  • Performing the techniques without repeated re-starts, a preliminary understanding of distance
